Hey friend! I'm Maddie.
I’m a Jacksonville native and my hubby and I are living the dream in Neptune Beach. I am a self-taught portrait photographer with a passion for preserving your moments and providing you with authentic imagery to make you remember exactly how it felt, all while making you feel happy, comfy, and relaxed. When I’m not capturing your stories, you can probably find me at the beach soaking up the sun, at a happy hour with friends, or catching up on the latest crime docuseries or trashy reality tv show. I’ve been doing photography full time for 1.5 years, but I’ve considered it a hobby long before that. I’ve always been a creative person. Whether it’s random crafts or projects on the weekends or pottery/yearbook/photography in high school. I guess you could say I like to make things. I took a huge leap and decided to try and make photography more than just a hobby. I realized it is the creative career that I’ve always wanted. I became obsessed with the idea of creating a moment for people to remember forever. Freezing time in a sense. Making people feel comfortable and beautiful is a feeling that never gets old and I have SO much fun doing it. I thrive off of human connection and love when clients turn into friends. I strive to carry my creativity and authenticity into our time together, documenting your moments just as they are.
It's the little things...
The scenic route. Conversations around the fire on a chilly night. Surfing with my husband at sunrise. An iced lavender latte. The sound of our family and friend’s laughter filling our home. Breakfast food. A cold beer at the beach on a summer day. The gooyness of a fresh chocolate chip cookie. The smell of the ocean. Live music in a dive bar. Traveling through mountains. Traveling anywhere actually. Mac and cheese. Beach walks with my Sheepadoodle pup. A candle burning. Cozying up with a good book on a gloomy day. It’s in these slow, seemingly small pieces of life where I find my inspiration and motivation. It’s the little things that make me happy.
